How to Play Rummy on 6 Club
Indian Rummy is played with 13 cards per player. The objective is to arrange all cards into valid sets and sequences and make a declaration before your opponents.
1. Deal & Sort
Each player receives 13 cards. Sort your cards by suit and rank. Identify potential sequences and sets early.
2. Draw & Discard
On your turn, draw a card from the closed deck or open pile. Discard one card to the open pile. Build your hand strategically.
3. Form Sequences & Sets
A sequence is 3+ consecutive cards of the same suit. A set is 3+ cards of the same rank across different suits. You need at least one pure sequence (no joker) to declare.
4. Declare
When your hand has valid sets and sequences, discard your final card and declare. If valid, you win. Opponents' unmatched card points are calculated.
Rummy Variants on 6 Club
Points Rummy
Fastest format. One deal per game. Points have a fixed rupee value. Winner takes the difference in points from all opponents. Ideal for quick sessions.
Pool Rummy
Players join a pool (101 or 201 points). When your score crosses the threshold, you're eliminated. Last player standing wins the entire pool. Requires long-term strategy.
Deals Rummy
Fixed number of deals with equal chips. Player with the most chips after all deals wins. Combines skill across multiple rounds. Great for tournaments.
Rummy Strategy Tips
Prioritize pure sequence first
Without a pure sequence, your declaration is invalid. Focus on building one immediately, even if it means sacrificing other promising combinations early.
Watch the discard pile
Your opponents' discards reveal what they don't need. If they discard high cards early, they may be close to declaring. Adjust your strategy accordingly.
Use jokers wisely
Jokers are wild cards. Use them to complete impure sequences or sets, never in your pure sequence. Save them for high-value combinations.
Drop when necessary
If your hand is poor after the first few turns, consider an early drop. A small penalty is better than losing with high unmatched points.
